Payment Policy
Effective and last updated: 3 August 2026
No payment is due until you've accepted a written quote or order confirmation. Service work is paid by advance + milestone, or monthly in advance for ongoing management. Trade orders are paid against invoice before dispatch. Taxes are extra unless stated otherwise, and advances are generally non-refundable once work has started.
1. Scope
This Payment Policy applies to two types of engagement with Varaha Multitrade Private Limited ("Varaha", "we", "us"):
- Service engagements — marketplace account management, listing optimization, Shopify and web/app development, AWS optimization, blockchain/smart contract development, and related services described on our Services page.
- Trade orders — wholesale, export, or buyback transactions in gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery.
Where a signed proposal, statement of work, or sale contract you've agreed to says something different from this policy, that document governs.
2. Quotes and proposals
Initial discovery calls and store/account audits are free. Paid work begins only once you've accepted a written proposal or quote and, where applicable, an invoice or order confirmation. Pricing in a quote is valid for the period stated on it; after that, we may need to requote.
3. Payment methods
We accept payment by bank transfer — NEFT/RTGS/IMPS for Indian clients, and SWIFT wire transfer for international clients. Additional methods (such as UPI or a payment gateway) may be offered and will be confirmed on your invoice. [Confirm final list of supported methods and gateway, if any, before publishing.]
4. Currency and charges
Domestic invoices are billed in INR. International invoices are billed in USD or another currency agreed in writing. Wire transfer fees and currency-conversion charges are borne by the client unless we've agreed otherwise in writing — please remit the full invoiced amount net of any bank charges on your end.
5. Payment schedule
- Project-based service work (e.g., store builds, app or smart-contract development): an advance is due before work begins, with the balance due on delivery or at agreed milestones. Exact percentages and milestones are set out in your proposal.
- Ongoing/retainer services (e.g., account management, listing optimization): billed monthly in advance. We may pause work if a renewal payment isn't received by the due date.
- Trade orders (bullion, jewellery, precious metals): payable against a proforma invoice before dispatch, or on the terms stated in the sale contract/Incoterms for export orders.
6. Invoicing and taxes
GST (or other applicable indirect tax) is charged extra at the prevailing rate on domestic supplies unless an invoice states otherwise. Our GSTIN is stated on every invoice we issue. For cross-border services and goods exports, applicable FEMA reporting, export documentation, and any destination-country import duties or taxes are the client's responsibility unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
7. Late payment
Invoices are due on the date stated on them. Overdue amounts may attract late-payment interest of 1.5% per month (or the maximum permitted by law, if lower), and we may pause active work, deliveries, or account access until the balance is cleared.
8. Refunds and cancellations
- Advance payments for service work are generally non-refundable once work has commenced, since they cover time and resources already committed.
- If you cancel before work begins, we'll refund your advance, less any costs we've already incurred on your behalf (e.g., third-party tools, ad spend, or licenses), within 15 business days.
- For trade orders, precious-metal pricing is market-linked at the time of order confirmation; once an order is confirmed and/or dispatched, it is generally treated as final, with returns assessed case by case against assay/hallmark verification. Order-specific terms will be confirmed in your sale contract.
- Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or applicable e-commerce rules that can't be waived by agreement.
9. Your payment information
We don't collect card or bank details through this website. Payment details are exchanged directly with our team at the time of invoicing, through the channel we agree with you. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data generally.
10. Disputes
If a billing dispute comes up, contact us first — most issues are resolved directly. If we can't resolve something amicably, it will be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration at Valsad, Gujarat, and is otherwise subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Valsad, Gujarat, under Indian law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, payment tools, or the law change. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do; for active engagements, the terms in your signed proposal or contract take priority over changes made here.
